I ran into this article in the New York Times while wasting time on the web. It's from May of 1897. Check it out and remember how people continue to suck. Some may find comfort in our constancy while others despair at our intractability. As Ricardo Montalban suggested after waking up after a several-century snooze on a Star Trek episode, "How little man has really changed."
